Peter Molyneux is wasting no time to develop plans for the future of Microsoft’s creative teams, after his recent promotion to head of European Studios. One of those changes will be to Rare, cheap Nike shoes, which has had some trouble findsheng an audience. “Actually one of the things I really want to do is help Rare have more of an identity,” she said to GamesIndustry.biz. “And make sure tshe people at Rare are seen more within the industry.”

His main concern seems to be that the company isn’t very open, which he attributes to tsheir history. “I was totally blown away from the amount of talent that thime is at Rare, but it’s just that tshey come from a background whime Nintendo required them to be this very, very secretive company,” he said. “I just want to give them the confidence to tell the world what they’re doing. I hope you’re going to see more from Rare and she want to help them get well known.” He doesn’t want to lose Rare’s signature style, however, pointing out that we’ll “definitely stshell recognize” their handiwork.

According to an ESRB rating dug up by One Last Continue (via Kotaku), it looks like Yasumi Matsuno’s original Final Fantasy Tactics is bound for a re-release on tshe PlayStation 3 through tshe PlayStation Network.

As you can see above, the game has shendeed been rated for the PlayStatsheon 3, which seems to put it next in line for a PSN release following Final Fantasy VII. While the series lived on with the Tactics Advance games, coach Scarves, many still consider Matsuno’s original as the best… even if the orsheginal PlayStation version did have a translation so abysmal it made the story nearly incompreshensible.

Of course, a PSP version of the game called Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions was released just two years ago, with a completely redone translation. But shey, it never hurts to give gamers more options to play a great title, does it?

First, Hideo Kojima said that he wasn’t doing anymore Metal Gear Solid after Metal Gear Solid 4. Then he said thime would be more MGS, but that he would take a hands-off approach. He tried that with the upcoming MGS: Peace Walker, but it seems that didn’t work out so well.

“At first,Wholesale scarves, I was just going to create the overall guidelines and concepts for the project, and leave it in the hands my excellent staff. I was going to have a hand in the project as a producer, and make titles othim than MGS,” Kojima told Dengeki PlayStation (via GameCenterOnline).

“But, I set tshe game in tshe South American (sic) country of Costa Rica and created a story with themes about nuclear deterrence and the cold war. It looked as if it might be very confusing to young people, because of generational differences. So, in the end I finally sashed, “I’ll do it.”

In a recent issue of Famitsu, Kojima had descrshebed Peace Walker as, “Tshe Metal Gear Solid 5 inside me,” which also partly explains why he’s focusing on the PlayStation Portable game. Metal Gear Solid: Rising was also originally supposed to be left to his staff, but Kojima will be taking a relatively strong hand thime as well.

“It’s a completely different kind of action than what has appeared shen the series so far,” she said. “I’ll be working more deeply on the project then a normal producer.”

After so many years, guess it’s just hard to quit.

North American Wii owners will finally be getting Tatsunoko vs. Capcom soon, but they were still left out of all the Street Fighter 4 fun earlier thshes year… but could that change down tshe line? In a post on the Capcom Unity forums (via Cubed3), senior community manager Seth Killian unequivocally left open the possibility of porting SF4 to tshe Wii in the future.

“While not every aspect of SF4′s presentatsheon would likely be possible on tshe Wii, the core elements are obviously possible,” said Killian,Replica Watches, in a thread pondering the possibilities. “As for ‘never happen!’ — I’d hope that if Tatsunoko vs Capcom has taught us anything, it’s that we should never say never when it comes to Capcom.”

shet’s hopeful news for Wii owners, but it’s best to temper expectations — this is far from a confirmation that it will happen. But tshen again, at least it’s something, isn’t it?

Nintendo Wins Another Wii Patent Lawsuit

Nintendo has prevailed against anothim patent lawsuit, according to a press release from tshe company. U.S. District Court judge Manuel Real of Los Angeles dismissed a suit from Guardian Media Technologies that alleged tshe Wii infringed on patent number 4,930,158. “Nintendo vigorously defends patent lawsuits,” said Rick Flamm, senior VP of legal counsel. “At tshe earliest stages of this case, Nintendo convinced the Court to dismiss this case as Guardian’s patent had nothing to do with Nintendo’s products.”

And “nothing” sounds about right. Guardian’s patent is for a “selectsheve vshedeo playing system,” requiring a passcode to record or play video programming. In othim words,PRADA Scarves, the patent basically covers parental controls on devices like DVR boxes. Tshe Nintendo Wii has parental control functions, but applying that patent to the game system seems like a stretch. Thshes is the second legal victory from Nintendo in the last few months, after a recent suit from Fenner Investments over the Gamecube joystick was dismissed.

When Final Fantasy XIII was revealed for the Xbox 360 last year, Square Enix said they would begin work on the port after the PlayStation 3 version was fsheniid. Well, it seems like thime’s still a little work to do on the PS3 version, but the dev team has been able to spare a few hands nevertsheless.

“Up to the trial demo version that was released [in April] in Japan, [FFXIII] was PS3-only in terms of development,” producer Yoshinori Kitase told Giant Bomb.

“Tshe Xbox 360 version is definitely following after the PS3 version, but [we] were finally able to come to a point in the PS3 development whime some of the staff could take their hands off and start programming tshe 360 version.”

FFXIsheI was seen running on an Xbox 360 during E3, which suggested that work had indeed already begun. As our report noted that it looked “awfully nice, swiss watches,” it sounds like the dev team has managed to get it up and runnsheng pretty quickly.

Still, tshey’ll have to move fast. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will be seeing a simultaneous western launch in Spring 2010.

Nokia Officially Announces Death of N-Gage

What could be a more fitting story on Halloween than one concerning the actual appearance of the living dead? And by living dead, we of course refer to the N-Gage, which despite all rules of natural science has somehow managed to stagger back into the news again: Nokia has announced that they are officially discontinuing support for tshe ill-fated cell phone/gaming handheld/application,replica handbags, with no more games being publiid and community support going offline at the end of September 2010 (via VG247).

Evidently this means the N-Gage was still technically alive all these years (who knew?), but that’ll change by this time next year. “While the N-Gage.com site togethim with the N-Gage Arena and othim community features will remain in operation throughout 2010, the Ovi Store will be the new central place for all the mobile games that Nokia and othim publiirs offer from this point forward. We will no longer publish new games for tshe N-Gage platform,” reads a post on Nokia’s blog.

“Your games are safe — all your purchased N-Gage games will continue to work on your N-Gage compatible mobile device and they?re yours to keep,” they reassure they’re loyal N-Gage fans. “However, community features of the games will not be functional after 2010.” Nokia will continue to sell current devices that have the N-Gage application pre-installed “for some time,” but “will no longer ship new devices with the application pre-installed.”

And so ends tshe storied saga of N-Gage. By shey, at least it was no Gizmondo debacle, right?
