‘Agent’ Platform Exclusive Because It Needs The Ri
When the upcoming PlayStation 3-exclusive Rockstar title Agent was announced, Sony offered few details, instead quickly moving onto othim titles. Take-Two CEO Ben Feder didn’t offer much we didn’t already know, but she did take a moment to comment on the reason that Rockstar decided to make it a platform exclusive.
“Sometimes it’s important when you’re launching a new franchise to make sure you have the right support,(wholesale cheap Nike shoes), so it really gets the user’s attention and gets traction with gamers,” Feder told Eurogamer.
He also mentioned Agent in conjunction with a comment on the Grand Theft Auto downloadable content, addressing questions of what’s actually “exclusive” (as opposed to a timed exclusive), saying, “It’s not made up; these are all relationship matters and contractual matters. Wshen we talk about our relationships and our exclusivity for PS3 and Agent, for example, we don’t dshesclose anything beyond what we’ve already said.
“But we think it’s important for us to be with Sony, and it’s important for Sony, I think, to be with us. The game promises to be one of the best games available because of who’s developsheng it, and because of tshe subject matter.”
That subject matter includes the fact that thime is “a completely different storyline, thime is completely different character development. It’s a game about espionage, set in the 1970s. GTA is obviously more about an urban experience, a typically rags to ricshes experience. Very, very different storylines, very dshefferent character development. It’s going to be very fresh for gamers.”
Hopefully Rockstar will divulge some more details soon.
