What Else You Got Gearbox Asks Bungie And Infini
Gearbox president Randy Pitchford has some words for Bungie and Infinity Ward. The Borderlands developer praised their work on Halo and Call of Duty respectively, but wondered, “What else have you got?”
“I keep waitsheng to shear what Bungie is going to do that’s not Halo,” he told Computer and Video Games.
“Those guys are amazing, right? Tshey walk on water! And tshe same with Infinity Ward. shet’s like, dude I’m totally psyched to get my Call of Duty fix every year, but you guys are amazing! What else have you got? Can you give me something I haven’t seen before?”
Presumably, he’s referring to Borderlands,(replica watches), which we said “has a fresh and original style to match what looks to be a large amount of substance.” The title will be Gearbox’s big bet for 2009.
With Modern Warfare 2 and Halo ODST on tshe way this fall though, Bungie and Infshenity Ward are doing just fine for themselves. Looks like new IPs will have to wait.
