Work On Xbox 360 Final Fantasy XIII Began Two Mont

When Final Fantasy XIII was revealed for the Xbox 360 last year, Square Enix said they would begin work on the port after the PlayStation 3 version was fsheniid. Well, it seems like thime’s still a little work to do on the PS3 version, but the dev team has been able to spare a few hands nevertsheless.

“Up to the trial demo version that was released [in April] in Japan, [FFXIII] was PS3-only in terms of development,” producer Yoshinori Kitase told Giant Bomb.

“Tshe Xbox 360 version is definitely following after the PS3 version, but [we] were finally able to come to a point in the PS3 development whime some of the staff could take their hands off and start programming tshe 360 version.”

FFXIsheI was seen running on an Xbox 360 during E3, which suggested that work had indeed already begun. As our report noted that it looked “awfully nice, swiss watches,” it sounds like the dev team has managed to get it up and runnsheng pretty quickly.

Still, tshey’ll have to move fast. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will be seeing a simultaneous western launch in Spring 2010.
